Connie Bowers, NBCT
Connie certified in 2011 as an Early Childhood Generalist. She holds a BA in Elementary Education (K – 6) with a certification in Early Childhood and an MA in Early Childhood. She currently is a Title 1 Interventionist, providing instruction and support for struggling first graders in reading and mathematics. In 2018, Connie founded a local non-profit organization to support National Board candidates.
Dr. Jenny L. Santilli, NBCT
Jenny certified in 2008 and renewed in 2017 in Early Adolescence through Young Adulthood World Languages Other Than English. She holds an AB in Oral Communications (7 – Adult) and Spanish (6 – Adult), an MA in Educational Leadership and certification in K-Adult Administration. She also holds an Ed. D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Educational Leadership. She teaches Spanish II, III and IV at a high school and beginning Spanish at a university, and is an NBPTS Certified Support Provider.
Joetta Schneider, NBCT
Joetta certified in 2006 and re-certified in 2016 in Adolescent and Young Adulthood Science, Chemistry. She holds a BS in Biology and Chemistry Education (9 – 12), an MA in Curriculum and Instruction in Secondary Science and a certification in General Science (5 – 12.) She taught chemistry, biology and general science at both the high school and college level before becoming an academic coach. Also certified in Physics and AP Chemistry, she has served as an NBPTS assessor in 2008.
Elissa Whelchel, NBCT
Elissa certified in 2010 as an Early Childhood through Young Adulthood Exceptional Needs Specialist. She holds a BA in English and Communication, an MA in Special Education (Birth – 21) and is certified in educating Learning Disabled, Behavior Disabled and Mentally Impaired individuals. She teaches mathematics, English, Environmental Earth Science and social studies in self-contained classes and collaborates with regular education teachers. Elissa is also a Technology Integration Specialist.
